Perched on the channel to Tuggerah Lake, easily experience ocean baths, beaches, water sports, fishing, fresh seafood, lakeside eateries, outdoor entertainment, festivals, fireworks… and of course pelicans.

Pelican Feeding:

Pelican Feeding is the Central Coast’s most popular tourist attraction and operates 3.30pm daily, 365 days a year come rain, hail or shine.

Vera's Water Garden the Entrance

Vera's Water Garden is always a hit with children, who can dangle their feet in the wading pool, run through the water sprays, and climb over the brightly coloured fountains.

The Entrance Boatshed

Located under The Entrance Bridge, The Entrance Boat Shed was built in 1927 to cater to locals and visitors wanting to take advantage of the beautiful Tuggerah Lake to fish, prawn, or have fun in the sun.

The Entrance Baths

Clear your mind with a cleansing swim in the outdoor ocean pools. The Grant McBride Baths, featuring a 50-metre lap pool, 20 metre smaller pool, and a wading pool located by the Heritage listed Surf Life Saving Club at the southern end of The Entrance beach. There's free entry all year round and brilliant coastal views while you paddle.


Coast to Lake Walk

The Coast to Lake is a self-guided walk around The Entrance and surrounding areas to experience the landmarks, attractions and scenery this popular pocket of the Central Coast has to offer. It's considered a 'string of pearls', covering over 7.6km of our beautiful area.

The Coast to Lake walk is divided into four distinct sections, and you can tackle each section separately. Sections one, three and four are fully accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and bicycles.

Blue Bay,  Toowoon Bay & Shelly Beach

The perfect string of beaches, just next to each other, offering a multitude of options for everyone!

Blue Bay - Enjoy the calm waters of the protected Blue Bay Beach - offering the perfect spot of families to relax the day away.

Toowoon Bay - The adventurers haven - take your snorkel and explore all that the reef has to offer!

Shelly Beach - Set up for a full day of surf, sun and sand at the icon Shelly Beach. With optional pet friendly area to the left of the Surf Club. Perfect for families with the flags set up just in front of the the cafe, but also a well known surf spot for those looking for easy access to great waves.

Long Jetty

Long Jetty is a vibrant town on the Central Coast with an attractive balance of pretty versus gritty. Located on a stretch of land between the waters of Tuggerah Lake and Toowoon Bay, the neighbourhood has experienced a positive transformation over the last decade thanks to its continuously growing creative community and the many innovative entrepreneurs choosing to move their ideas here.
